FrogLearn has loads of great ways of customising sites to make them individual to your school. If you’ve mastered the basics and fancy a go at taking that customisation to the next level, take a look at this quick guide on how to find the ‘Advanced’ features in the Text widget.
To get started, you’ll need to drag in a Text widget and upload an image. You get some controls immediately if you click on the Advanced tab in the upload dialog.
There’s not much you can do here, but you can add ALT text and change the sizing.
If you click OK and then right-click on the image, there’s a different ‘Image Properties’ option. Along with being able to set width, height and border, there are also spacing options, link options and an Advanced tab.
In this tab, there are some language options and also the ability to add styling and even CSS classes.
This feature is great if you want to change the look of images on your pages, for example if you want to make an image look like a Polaroid or have rounded edges, you can do this by setting the image to that class in the Advanced settings.
If you’d like to find out how other schools are using this feature, or ask any questions about it, then hop on the forums.
The release notes for Frog are always available on the community site if you’d like to look at any other features you can play with.
