Another one bites the dust, and what an amazing day Frog 14 was. A huge thank you to everyone who made the day possible, we hope the 800 delegates that registered had as much fun as we did!
As always the Frog free gift was a massive hit – hands up who managed to riffle through any spare bags and get the full range of colourful water bottles?
After a short break, our workshops kicked into action with standing room only left in many. During the morning we were joined by Eric Moseley, from Talbot County Public Schools in the USA, amongst other speakers.
We had a brilliant mix throughout the afternoon, from an interesting and challenging Q&A with our education experts, to a very articulate presentation from students at The Streetly Academy and an exciting video from Halifax High Students.
Steve Holt, Director at I am Learning gave an illuminating insight into the future of games based learning, whilst at the same time Lee Parkinson was impressing his audience and got a lot of ‘wows’ and ‘oooos’ with his tips on improving teaching and literacy by using iPads.
The whole day was rounded up perfectly by Tim Rylands, who provided a toolkit of useful resources for teachers, many of whom were seen frantically taking notes and downloading the recommended apps.
We had lots of winners on the day from our very popular Frog lucky dip, it was so popular we ran out of prizes, so apologies to anyone who didn’t get any extra loot.
Glide bikes also gave away an amazing red glide bike to Leanne Parker who was ‘wheelie’ excited to ride her bike home!
Take a look at #Frog14 on twitter to see what others had to say about the day.
If you didn’t get chance to spend the day with us here is a short video showing the highlights of the day.
All the workshops were recorded, and will be available on our website by the end of this week.
See you all next year!
