World Book Day

You may have seen the odd Harry Potter waiting for the bus this morning, or a Little Red Riding Hood and Pippi Longstocking making their way to school. Don’t worry, you weren’t seeing things. Today is World Book Day – a celebration of books and reading recognised by UNESCO in over 100 countries worldwide.

The aim of World Book Day is to encourage children to explore the pleasure of reading, by giving them the opportunity to buy a book of their very own. To mark the day, every child is entitled to receive a £1 World Book Token. This can then be exchanged for one of eight specially published World Book Day £1 books.

We all have our memorable books, and the froggies here at Frog Towers have shared some of their favourites.
