Are you a social savvy school?

96% of all students who have access to the internet use social media every day.

This means that schools can no longer be asking the question ‘should we be using social media in school’, instead they need to be thinking about ‘what’s the best way to engage students through social media’.

Information in and out of school needs to be accessible, not only for the student, but for the teacher and parent too. Social media can help build on existing practises in your school community and push engagement to another level.

If you don’t already know the benefits of using social media to support teaching and learning, check out the infographic below.

More and more schools are embracing the opportunities social media brings to further learning – are you ready to take the plunge?

If you’re already a social media savvy school and have had some amazing successes, let us know what you’ve been up to in the comments box so other schools can get some ideas.
